Robert Linford has been Head of Chambers since 2005. He practises in all areas of serious crime. He is a Category 4 Prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service and he is regularly briefed in class 1 offences (murder and manslaughter) without Leading Counsel.
His defence practice encompasses the full range of criminal offences, in particular murder, sexual offences, drug trafficking and fraud. He has a particular expertise in cases involving mental health issues.

He appeared in the leading case in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) on the “dangerousness” provisions under the Criminal Justice Act 2003 (R v Lang and others [2006] 2 Cr.App.R.(S.) 3)
