Landmark Prosecution of Man for Murder Following his Earlier Conviction for GBH

On 6th March 2012 a man from Cornwall was convicted of murder. The Defendant had previously been convicted of Grevious Bodily Harm but following the victims subsequent death and in light of the abolition of the year and a day rule it was possible to bring a further charge of murder, of which he was convicted.
